OVERVIEW:

The New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) will host a night of innovation, collaboration and discovery at the first ever MOME Finance Lab. Produced by Winston Baker and in conjunction with First Time Fest NYC, this special event will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4 – 7 pm at The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca, New York City.

This will be an opportunity for filmmakers to connect and meet with potential financiers for their next project. The aim of the MOME Finance Lab is to cultivate films in New York City made by, about, and for women.

During the three-hour networking event, pre-selected filmmakers will pitch their project to some of the industry’s leading film financiers. Pitches will last 8-10 minutes, including any media (trailers or other supporting video). The nominated filmmaking teams will be invited to attend a pre-pitch workshop to prepare for the evening.

The selection committee includes representatives from Writers Guild of America East, New York Women in Film & Television, Firelight Media, Made in New York IFP Media Center, and First Time Fest.
